From Byōdōji Temple, the 22nd sacred site of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage and a Koyasan Shingon Buddhist temple, we deliver live streams of Fudō fire rituals every 28th of the month (Fudō Myōō's sacred day). The ritual is performed according to the traditional Chūin-ryū practices commonly practiced at Mount Koya.
Fudō Myōō is the Kyōryōrin-shin (wrathful form for teaching) of Dainichi Nyorai (Vairocana Buddha) and is the supreme Myōō positioned at the center of the Five Great Myōō.
"What is called immovable is precisely the mind of true pure enlightenment. To express this meaning, names are established based on phenomena." ─From 'Dhāraṇī Samaya Acala Sacred One Recitation Secret Dharma'
The name "Fudō" (Immovable) symbolizes the unwavering enlightened mind and the state of great tranquil meditation.
Entrust your prayers to the flames of the fire ritual and receive the divine protection of Fudō Myōō. Even through the screen, you can participate in worship together with us.
