Otayori lets you send words to the buddhas, the priest, or Byodoji staff. From wherever you are, you can share gratitude, prayers, updates, and thoughts with the temple.

To the buddhas

Messages addressed to Yakushi Nyorai, Fudo Myoo, Kobo Daishi, and others are offered before them.

To the priest or staff

Messages addressed to the priest or temple staff are handed to that person.

To Byodoji

A place for updates, thanks, wishes, and non-urgent notes for the temple.

    Public submissions may appear in Byodoji reports, publications, or Byodoji Online. Personal information is masked before publication.

  • Receipt number and history

    A receipt number is issued, and you can review your otayori from your history.

About public display

About public display

Private otayori is offered or read and then kept. If you request public display, it may appear in Byodoji reports, publications, or Byodoji Online, and a commemorative TOK may be sent. Publication is decided by the priest.

Personal information is masked before anything is shown publicly.
