Temple parishioners will travel directly to Mount Koya on a bus operated by Kaguya-hime Kanko of Anan. Two other buses will pick up participants via Shin-Osaka Station and Osaka-Umeda, making three buses in all.

A short break at Awaji Service Area on the northern tip of Awaji Island.

From 8:15 - 8:45 we will be waiting for you at the bus terminal in front of Shin-Osaka Station. The bus will meet another bus at Katsuragi West PA around 10:20.

The bus will wait in front of Osaka Mode Gakuen, near JR Osaka Station, from 8:45 to 9:15. Please allow plenty of time to arrive.
After arriving on Mount Koya, we will check in and have lunch. Bus passengers will complete check-in on board, so only those meeting us on site need to register here.
Please buy any souvenirs at this stop, as there will be little time to shop later.

We will tour Danjo Garan, a sacred center of Esoteric Buddhism, and enter the Konpon Daito and Kondo halls.
Goshuin temple seals are available. The head priest will accompany Group 2.

After lunch, we will visit Okunoin with specialist guides.
Starting at Ichinohashi Bridge, we will take our time learning as we make our pilgrimage.
If walking is difficult, please let us know in advance. Staff can provide transport.
We will divide into four groups, each with its own guide.
On the way to Okunoin, the head priest will accompany Group 1. Please give any nokyo book requiring a seal from Okunoin to your group staff.

We will pray at Torodo Hall, which stands before the mausoleum of Kobo Daishi Kukai.

After worship, we will walk back to Nakanohashi parking area with our guides. The head priest will accompany Group 4.
We will move to our temple lodging for the night. Please rest until dinner.
We will have dinner at the temple lodging. Enjoy the meal and time together.
This gathering includes time for a private conversation with the head priest.
You may take a commemorative photo, request a goshuin temple seal, or seek personal counsel. As time is limited, each meeting will last about five minutes.
Morning service is one of the highlights of staying at a temple lodging. You may request a memorial dedication for your ancestors and perhaps view sacred relics of the Buddha.
We warmly invite you to attend.
Breakfast will, of course, be shojin ryori Buddhist cuisine. Begin a refreshing morning on Mount Koya.

Kongobuji, the head temple, is where our head priest once served. We will view its many temple treasures.
The head priest will accompany Group 3. Goshuin temple seals are available.
Proceed to the gathering venue.
“Contemplating Life” combines Professor Masayoshi Morisaki’s Clinical Dohsa Method with the head priest’s Ajikan meditation. Returning after a long interval, the session offers unhurried time to relax body and mind.
We will have a shojin ryori Buddhist vegetarian lunch box. The whole trip features temple cuisine, and it is delicious.

We will hold a service on Mount Koya to chant Kobo Daishi’s sacred name, together with the communal passing of the great prayer beads.
Professor Morisaki and the head priest will give a short talk. It is intended to be a Dharma talk.
We will take questions about any part of the gathering. Please feel free to ask.
You will have about an hour of free time, with a chance to visit the Reihokan Museum or souvenir shops. Meanwhile, the staff will be busy packing up.
Depart for Osaka Station. The head priest will travel on the bus as well.

Thank you for joining us. 🙏
Good night.
