Trace the eleven-hundred-kilometer henro trail with your fingertip.
A pilgrimage site that mirrors the Shikoku Eighty-Eight onto Byodoji Online. The distances between temples are those of the actual walking trail. Walk on down the road and your footprints remain; pass through the temple gate, kindle a light, offer incense, place your offering slip, and recite the mantra three times.

Visiting is free. The road begins at the signpost of Temple 1, Ryozenji.
What you receive on this road
One road
A single road running from Temple 1 to Temple 88. The distances between temples are those of the measured walking trail. Your footprints remain for every step you walk.
PilgrimageOffering slips
Place a slip bearing your name and wish before the Main Hall and Daishi Hall. Each time you complete the eighty-eight, the color of your slips advances from white to green, red, silver, gold, and brocade.
Stamps
After a formal worship visit in which you offer an osamefuda at both the Main Hall and Daishi Hall, you receive one nokyo seal. Free worship records the date and time but does not receive a seal. Completing all 88 seals marks the completion of your pilgrimage.
How a visit unfolds
- Walk out from the signpost and pass through the temple gate.
- Enter the Main Hall, kindle a light, offer incense, and place your slip.
- Recite the honzon's mantra three times.
- Do the same at the Daishi Hall, reciting the sacred name "Namu Daishi Henjo Kongo" three times.
- Record your worship, and on a formal visit receive a nokyo seal, then continue along the road to the next temple.
If you do not have an osamefuda, choose “Continue without one” for free worship. Your worship and its date and time will be recorded, but no nokyo seal will be added.
Offering slips and donations
Visiting itself is free. Offering slips are granted at 5 yen each in return for your donation; a donation of 880 yen grants one round of slips (88 temples × 2). Donations go to Byodoji, which established and maintains this mirrored sacred site.
