
On 2026-05-18, from 10:00 JST, Byodoji Temple will conduct session #3 of the 13th Yakushi Nyorai 8,000-Stick Homa. This session is a Yakushi Rite.
Yakihachisenmai-ku is a major Shingon Buddhist homa practice. From the opening rite to the final day, the practice builds through repeated rites and mantra recitation, and on the final day 8,000 homa sticks are offered into the fire.
This is session #3 of the 63-session practice from the opening rite on May 17 to the final homa on June 7. Prayers entrusted by participants are offered before Yakushi Nyorai, including prayers for healing, physical well-being, cancer-related concerns, strong legs and back, safe daily life, and sincere wishes.
