When we look up at the night sky, countless stars twinkle quietly. Since ancient times, people have found guidance for their destiny in that light.
Sukuyo Astrology (Sukuyō-senseijutsu) is the teaching of the stars based on the esoteric Buddhist scripture "Sukuyo-kyō" that Kōbō Daishi Kūkai brought back from Tang China.
At the moment of your birth, one of the Big Dipper stars becomes your guardian "Honmyō-shō" (natal star), and together with its corresponding "Ganjin-jō" (original star), governs your lifelong destiny.
Furthermore, these nine luminous stars determine your fortune for each year as the annually rotating "Tōnen-jō" (annual star).
