法会の授与品
The Obon season has come again this year. Obon is the time of year when our ancestors come to enjoy time at home once a year. Families come together to welcome their ancestors on August 13, treat them well, and see them off on the 16th (the date may vary depending on local customs). This event used to be held all over Japan. Today, as the nature of the family and home has changed, the nature of Obon has naturally changed as well. Especially in recent years, the threat of Covid-19, a new coronavirus infection, has made it difficult to travel. We receive many comments at the temple, such as, "I can't go back to my parents' house," "I really want to visit the graves, but I can't," and so on. Therefore, since 2020, Byodoji Temple has been conducting remote memorial services for our ancestors. Through the screen, we can share the time of prayer. If you would like to pray for, make offerings to, or worship your ancestors in this way, please apply for this service.
